Responsibilities
- Define comprehensive test strategies for web and service applications using Playwright, TypeScript, and RestAssured.
- Create, optimize, and integrate automated regression test suites with GitLab-based pipelines.
- Coordinate test cycles, quality priorities, risk mitigation, and release-readiness activities across hybrid teams.
- Design API and service validation for AWS-hosted applications, including functionality, performance, and resilience testing.
- Manage scalable test data and test environments in collaboration with platform teams.
- Analyze test execution results, defect trends, coverage gaps, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and operations to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Use GitHub Copilot and TypeScript to develop maintainable, modular test scripts.
- Promote continuous testing within GitLab continuous integration workflows.
- Lead root-cause analysis for critical defects across code, configuration, and environments.
- Define and track metrics such as defect density, automation coverage, and escape rates.
- Validate relevant digital marketing and mobility user journeys, including dealer management, incentives management, and social engagement.
- Mentor junior quality engineers on automation patterns, Git workflows, AWS fundamentals, and defect reporting.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Playwright-based web automation and TypeScript scripting, with experience building scalable automation frameworks.
- Proven experience with RestAssured or similar tools for service-level testing, including endpoint, error-handling, and contract validation.
- Proficiency with GitLab and GitHub Copilot for version-control workflows, code reviews, and test-code authoring.
- Solid understanding of AWS-hosted application architectures from a testing perspective, including test environments, logs, and service dependencies.
- Practical experience with digital marketing or mobility solutions, such as social engagement, incentives, or dealer management journeys, is beneficial.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills for documenting test plans, sharing results, and collaborating with international teams.
- Preferred certification: ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Test Automation Engineer.
- Preferred certification: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
