Base Salary
$230k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services to build enterprise platforms.
- Mentor engineering community members and help drive professional development, coding standards, design patterns, observability, and reliability practices.
- Lead architectural design reviews, cross-functional engineering efforts, and large-scale technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internships.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years coding with Java, and 5+ years contributing to open source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes synchronous and asynchronous APIs, database management systems, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes cloud troubleshooting, mentoring senior engineers, distributed-system observability, architectural design reviews, enterprise technical standards, reliability practices, and technology strategy.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives is preferred.
