Responsibilities
- Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized applications and infrastructure deployed on Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenStack.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Linux administration, Docker/containerization, cloud infrastructure, and complex networking configurations.
- Investigate and resolve complex, high-severity customer issues across the cloud stack and implement durable solutions.
- Prepare and conduct root cause analyses for critical incidents to identify systemic issues and prevent recurrence.
- Develop, test, and maintain Python and Ansible automation for operational tasks, maintenance, and deployments.
- Provide end-to-end Escalation, Monitoring, and Emergency support as a final escalation point while meeting service availability goals and SLAs.
- Collaborate directly with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration, including advanced CentOS system administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, and firewalls in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenStack, Docker, and containerization.
- Solid Python scripting skills for task automation and system management.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management.
- Expertise preparing and implementing root cause analyses and managing Escalation, Monitoring, and Emergency processes.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Cloud Infrastructure, Red Hat Certified Engineer in Red Hat OpenStack, RHCSA, RHCE, CKA, EX280, or EX380 certifications are advantageous.
