Responsibilities
- Own and extend the MCP Gateway and connector platform, including integrations with enterprise tools and secure access controls.
- Operate the plugin and marketplace distribution layer, including versioning, publishing pipelines, reviews, releases, shared plugins, skills, hooks, and developer tooling.
- Build observability, telemetry, model routing, usage attribution, cost tracking, benchmarks, and evaluation harnesses for AI systems.
- Develop infrastructure for searchable, browsable, commentable agent outputs with tagging, engagement instrumentation, expiry, and notifications.
- Run office hours and brownbags, mentor engineers, document platform practices, triage feature requests, and provide on-call support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Production ownership of a backend service or developer platform, including its authentication model, release process, and operational health.
- Strong production experience with Python, TypeScript/Node, Go, or a similar modern application stack and modern CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with machine-to-machine authentication and authorization, including OAuth2, OIDC, credentials, token scoping, and secret management.
- Experience instrumenting an owned system with metrics, structured logging, tracing, or usage analytics and using the data to guide decisions.
- Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools in a production or near-production environment.
- Strong written communication skills and experience producing documentation, runbooks, and educational materials.
- Preferred experience includes MCP servers, Claude Code plugins, LLM gateways or inference proxies, LLM evaluation harnesses, package registries or extension marketplaces, healthcare or HIPAA-regulated systems, Aledade’s technology stack, full-stack platform work, and internal platform adoption.
