Responsibilities
- Own and resolve complex P1/P2 incidents affecting Azure-hosted .NET applications and integrations.
- Troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, and platform layers, including Azure App Services, AKS, networking, identity, storage, APIs, and background services.
- Receive L1 and L2 escalations and drive technical resolution from investigation through closure.
- Coordinate incident response across Development, Infrastructure, Security, Support, and operational stakeholders.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and high-impact outages using logs, metrics, traces, and distributed telemetry.
- Create clear, detailed, executive-ready root-cause analysis documentation and communicate business impact, risks, and resolution plans.
- Configure and tune Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, alerts, and operational dashboards.
- Monitor and improve application performance, availability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose code-level issues in C#, ASP.NET Core applications, integrations, and background services.
- Recommend and implement retry policies, circuit breakers, bulkhead isolation, caching, and asynchronous processing improvements.
- Use SQL to investigate production issues and validate application or data-related findings.
- Support vulnerability remediation, patching, and deployment troubleshooting when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with C# and .NET applications, including substantial production support or operational troubleshooting.
- Advanced experience troubleshooting ASP.NET Core applications, integrations, and background services at production scale.
- Proven ability to independently own and resolve critical P1/P2 production incidents.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure App Services, AKS, storage, networking, and Microsoft Entra ID or Azure AD.
- Fluency with the Azure Portal during real-time incident investigations.
- Experience receiving L1 and L2 escalations and driving them through resolution.
- Strong root-cause analysis skills using logs, metrics, traces, and distributed telemetry.
- Hands-on experience configuring and tuning Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, alerts, and operational dashboards.
- Ability to diagnose performance, memory, threading, asynchronous processing, and integration failures.
- Practical experience with retry policies, circuit breakers, bulkhead isolation, caching, and asynchronous processing in distributed .NET systems.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for production investigations.
- Experience coordinating incident resolution across Development, Infrastructure, Security, and Support teams.
- Professional working proficiency in English, including executive-ready written communication.
- Preferred experience includes vulnerability remediation, security patching, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions troubleshooting, Docker Compose, Helm, Terraform, Bicep, Azure cost optimization, enterprise operational systems, relevant Microsoft certifications, or ITIL Foundation and formal incident-management processes.
