Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build systems that deliver real-time score updates, close-game alerts, and live activity feeds across multiple devices.
- Develop real-time data pipelines that process live sports signals and determine what notifications to send, when, and to whom.
- Build and improve a data-matching platform connecting structured sports data to the content catalog.
- Own the design, implementation, and operation of high-throughput distributed systems with low-latency requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable code, participate in design reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner engineering teams across time zones to define requirements and deliver solutions to ambiguous problems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
