Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support high-quality software for agentic AI and backend services.
- Build, run, and consume MCP servers, including tool design, authentication/OAuth, multi-tenant security, and deployment.
- Build LLM agents with tool or function calling and multi-agent orchestration such as A2A.
- Test and evaluate agent behavior and implement production observability.
- Develop backend services in Python and Java while considering performance and data quality.
- Contribute to architecture, design, scaling, reliability, maintainability, technical debt reduction, and code reviews.
- Use AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot in daily development.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Quality Assurance to refine requirements and maintain quality standards.
- Break down development work, execute independently, and share technical learnings with teammates.
Requirements
- Be based in Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, or Mexico.
- Have strong written and spoken English.
- Have 4+ years of backend-heavy software development experience with Java and Python, including extensive agentic AI usage.
- Have experience with data structures, relational databases, SQL, AI coding assistants, and microservices.
- Have production experience building, running, and consuming MCP servers, including tool design, authentication/OAuth, multi-tenant security, and deployment.
- Have experience building LLM agents with tool or function calling and multi-agent orchestration, and testing and observing agent behavior in production.
- Be comfortable working independently on well-defined problems and committed to unit and functional testing.
- Have Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable technical aptitude gained through post-secondary education, hands-on experience, or both.
- Familiarity with GCP, containers, caching, and distributed systems is an asset.
- Experience with React and TypeScript, JavaScript design patterns, and single-page applications is preferred.
