Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Construct and optimize high-concurrency, highly available, low-latency infrastructure for the ad delivery system.
- Design, architect, implement, deploy, and manage scalable software and containerized applications using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain distributed, mission-critical systems and optimize application performance, scalability, availability, and cloud costs.
- Own end-to-end software development, updates, releases, documentation, testing materials, and technical recommendations.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues and identify automation and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and global engineering, product, and operations teams to define requirements and technical designs.
- Provide technical leadership, present and defend architectural decisions, and mentor junior software engineers.
- Apply security best practices to AWS infrastructure and containerized environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above is requested, with Comcast also considering coursework, experience, or extensive related professional experience in lieu of the stated degree.
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience is listed in the job description; a separate section lists 7–10 years.
- Proficiency in C/C++ or Go and network programming.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix, data structures, algorithms, distributed architecture, and large-scale system design.
- Experience with cloud and containerization technologies, distributed or mission-critical systems, and large system software development.
- Familiarity with middleware such as caching systems, message queues, and Nginx.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, technical innovation, technical support, communication, teamwork, and mentoring abilities.
- Willingness to collaborate with global teams and work additional hours for meetings or co-working when needed.
- Advertising industry experience is a plus.
