Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the complete lifecycle of software features, including design, prototyping, implementation, testing, maintenance, deployment, and technical support.
- Design and develop backend software and web applications for a large-scale video advertising platform.
- Produce technical specifications, assess operational feasibility, and present architectural, design, and technical decisions.
- Develop software verification plans, quality assurance procedures, documentation, and technical requirements.
- Integrate software components into fully functional systems and support application updates and releases.
- Analyze integration needs and collaborate with project stakeholders, product teams, operations teams, and other engineers.
- Investigate and resolve production and technical issues, including support outside normal working hours when needed.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior software engineers.
- Research competitive products, relevant literature, patents, and current engineering practices.
- Train representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with C, C++, or Golang, database design, and network programming.
- Experience designing and developing large-scale software systems.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems and mission-critical systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and technical innovation.
- Strong technical support capabilities and willingness to handle production issues outside normal working hours.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams and communicate effectively.
- Advertising industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
