Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS compute, storage, networking, and identity infrastructure.
- Build reusable Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK modules to standardize cloud environments.
- Create and evolve CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, security scanning, and deployment.
- Deploy and operate Docker-based services on EKS, ECS, Fargate, or related container platforms.
- Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, incident analysis, and service-improvement practices.
- Configure VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT, security groups, load balancers, and DNS.
- Support on-premises-to-AWS migrations, modernization, environment automation, and cutover stabilization.
- Embed identity, access control, encryption, secrets handling, vulnerability remediation, patching, and network security into cloud infrastructure.
- Use approved AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for coding, automation, troubleshooting, and documentation, validating generated outputs.
- Implement cloud tagging, consumption monitoring, rightsizing, and other cost-optimization practices.
- Produce runbooks and implementation notes and collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, data, and operations teams.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Hands-on Docker experience and exposure to EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, Route 53, and load balancers.
- Understanding of Linux administration, Python, Bash, or Shell scripting, and Git version control.
- Knowledge of cloud security practices including IAM, encryption, secrets handling, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and the ability to validate AI-generated outputs responsibly.
- Preferred experience includes AWS migration, Kubernetes tooling, serverless services, observability, policy-as-code, security scanning, compliance tooling, regulated environments, and FinOps.
- Experience with tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, Flux, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, Checkov, OPA, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, or Cursor is desirable.
- At least one relevant certification is preferred, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, CKA/CKAD, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
