Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot complex CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and related tools.
- Implement GitOps deployment workflows with Argo CD, Flux, declarative configuration, environment promotion, drift detection, rollback, and deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary releases.
- Implement scalable AWS infrastructure using services including EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, SSM, and Lambda.
- Develop reusable Terraform/OpenTofu infrastructure modules and integrate infrastructure provisioning with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Build automation, APIs, utilities, templates, internal developer platform capabilities, self-service workflows, and paved-road patterns.
- Build, configure, operate, and improve Kubernetes platforms, including EKS and AKS, with reusable Helm charts and deployment patterns.
- Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, reliability, disaster recovery, and operational runbooks.
- Apply AI and agentic capabilities to DevOps and platform engineering workflows using approved enterprise AI services.
- Lead root-cause analysis, implement permanent corrective actions, mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and lead defined technical workstreams.
- Participate in design, code, infrastructure, operational-readiness, and peer reviews, as well as on-call rotation where applicable.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, SRE, infrastructure engineering, software engineering, or a related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, enterprise cloud infrastructure, Terraform/OpenTofu, reusable infrastructure modules, CI/CD, GitOps, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS and/or AKS, Helm, and Ansible.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in one or more of Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash, and TypeScript.
- Experience with Git, pull-request-based workflows, IAM/RBAC, cloud security, networking, DNS, load balancing, VPCs/subnets, routing, and security groups/firewalls.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, and deployment issues.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance.
- Preferred experience includes internal developer platforms, multi-account AWS governance, Azure and AKS, AI/LLM platforms, agentic automation, policy-as-code, SonarQube, Trivy, cloud cost optimization, FinOps, and Agile/Scrum.
- AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
