Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for cloud infrastructure, delivery platforms, and operational excellence programs.
- Design and operate cloud platforms, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and GitOps systems.
- Create and scale CI/CD pipelines and developer platforms for large engineering organizations.
- Lead integration of AI-assisted operations, LLM-powered developer tooling, MLOps, AIOps, and AI governance capabilities.
- Guide platform modernization, cloud migration, edge delivery, reliability, security, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Communicate architectural trade-offs to engineering and executive audiences and publish architecture decisions, white papers, or cross-organizational RFCs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 12 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or software engineering, including at least three years in a senior role.
- Expertise with AWS and GCP cloud platforms, including network topology, identity and access management, cost governance, and multi-account strategy.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, service mesh, Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, and GitOps practices.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD systems using Jenkins, Spinnaker, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in at least two of Python, Go, and Java for tooling and automation.
- Preferred qualifications include 15+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience and expertise in MLOps, LLM infrastructure, AIOps, AI safety and governance, FinOps, internal developer platforms, platform modernization, edge and CDN architecture, chaos engineering, security, and reliability practices.
- Preferred qualifications include contributions to open-source infrastructure or AI/ML tooling, participation in relevant engineering communities, strong communication skills, and cloud/DevOps or AI certifications.
