Base Salary
$190k - $322k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team through the technical development of embedded software for electrosurgical devices.
- Develop software applications and firmware for electrosurgical and robotic minimally invasive-surgery products.
- Develop object-oriented C++, C, Verilog, and Python software for embedded systems.
- Acquire, process, store, and analyze energy data in real time.
- Develop software supporting manufacturing and test teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and independently solve assigned problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 8 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing complete embedded-software solutions using C/C++ on bare-metal and Linux-based embedded systems.
- Working knowledge of ADCs, DACs, PWM, waveform generation, and I2C, SPI, RS232, and CAN communications.
- Hands-on hardware bring-up experience using electronic bench equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Strong knowledge of control theory and experience developing and tuning control systems.
- Medical-device industry experience and familiarity with standards 60601 and 62304 are strongly preferred.
