Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust AWS SaaS applications using Python and Kotlin/Java.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and subject matter experts.
- Write code and tests, build prototypes, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in design discussions and provide technical input for engineering decisions.
- Document designs, processes, RFCs, best practices, and methodologies.
- Respond to production issues and work with the team to resolve them within defined SLA timelines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on Python experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Kotlin experience.
- At least 2 years of PostgreSQL experience.
- At least 7 years of experience developing SaaS applications on AWS.
- Extensive experience designing and developing scalable APIs.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Proficiency with coding standards, static code analysis, unit testing, and other software quality practices.
- Experience working with IoT time series databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include JavaScript/TypeScript frontend development, CI/CD build pipelines, DataOps, data structures and algorithms, and energy-industry knowledge.
- AWS certifications are considered an advantage.
