
Senior Engineer I, DevOps
Schneider ElectricResponsibilities
- Define, develop, and maintain software development environments and embedded Linux build infrastructure.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and automate build, test, deployment, and release processes with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Manage Azure and on-premises infrastructure using Terraform.
- Deploy and support Docker and Kubernetes applications, including cross-architecture builds and multi-board deployments.
- Develop and test firmware OTA update mechanisms and optimize build times and firmware image sizes.
- Integrate security, compliance, and code quality tools into CI/CD workflows.
- Implement monitoring and observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and InfluxDB.
- Manage artifacts with JFrog Artifactory and support VMware vSphere environments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to improve delivery and reliability.
- Document build procedures, toolchain setup, and deployment processes while contributing to incident management and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience building and deploying embedded Linux systems.
- Strong expertise with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps YAML Pipelines, Azure, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux administration.
- Experience with ARM cross-toolchains, embedded compilers, Yocto Project or Buildroot, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, SonarQube, Black Duck, Coverity, Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, JFrog Artifactory, and VMware vSphere.
- Knowledge of Azure Networking, IAM, RBAC, Key Vault, embedded performance profiling, QEMU or hardware emulation, firmware flashing, secure boot, and firmware signing.
- Experience with real-time systems or RTOS is highly valued.
- Experience in IoT, automotive, or industrial embedded sectors is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, technical leadership, ownership, collaboration, and mentoring capabilities.
