Responsibilities
- Design and implement internal infrastructure tools, especially Kubernetes Operators and Controllers.
- Lead complex, large-scale platform and infrastructure shifts.
- Own incident response, write retrospectives, and implement systemic reliability improvements.
- Operate and maintain a large-scale global Kubernetes fleet through Day 1 and Day 2 operations.
- Improve SLA compliance and infrastructure efficiency through automation and advanced overcommit or autoscaling strategies.
- Lead critical deliverables as a technical Captain and mentor junior engineers across time zones.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals and hands-on experience writing custom Operators.
- Strong experience building production-grade infrastructure automation tools and services.
- Experience operating large-scale Kubernetes fleets, handling high-severity incidents, and improving reliability through automation.
- Multi-cloud infrastructure experience, including cloud-native tooling and operating system migrations.
- Ability to provide technical direction, lead projects, and unblock team members.
- Preferred experience reading and navigating Golang code.
- Preferred experience with Karpenter, Terraform, Crossplane, Cluster API, Argo CD, AWS, and Azure.
