Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the double-entry accounting ledger for licensing and revenue recognition.
- Design systems for pay-as-you-go metering and billing.
- Build reconciliation and controls for daily financial closing.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on revenue-recognition policies.
- Lead major features and mentor team members through design and code reviews.
- Drive operational rigor with strong observability and low incident noise.
- Help shape the platform's roadmap for long-term company goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building backend services with strong correctness and durability.
- Experience with financial or transactional systems, including double-entry accounting.
- Ability to work closely with Finance and Accounting teams.
- Fluency in Python or Go, with other backend languages considered.
- Proven track record of translating financial policies into reliable systems.
- Ability to set technical direction and shape shared architecture at the Staff level.
- Bonus: experience preparing financial systems for audit.
