Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, debug, and document complex information systems, programs, subroutines, and scripts.
- Build scalable and reusable Vue.js front-end components for enterprise browser-based claims applications.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and enterprise backend services.
- Implement secure authentication solutions using OAuth and OpenID Connect.
- Lead UI modernization initiatives and help shape future application architecture.
- Serve as the front-end subject matter expert and establish development best practices.
- Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence.
- Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts and programmers.
- Support project roles such as project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead for small to medium efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is required.
- At least three years of systems and programming experience is required.
- At least one year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards is required.
- At least one year of expert working knowledge of a programming language used at BCBST is required.
- Hands-on experience with Vue.js 3+, TypeScript, single-page applications, PrimeVue or similar enterprise UI frameworks, REST API integrations, and OAuth/OpenID Connect is preferred.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS, component library design, Pinia or other state management frameworks, automated testing, and enterprise backend integrations is preferred.
- Demonstrated analysis, design, coding, project leadership, communication, organization, and leadership skills are required.
