Base Salary
$150k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build APIs that enable engineers to solve customer problems in the product.
- Own and execute backend features and large projects.
- Ensure systems are efficient, scalable, reliable, and observable.
- Maintain and evolve core internal capabilities, infrastructure, and systems.
- Collaborate with application and frontend engineers.
- Participate in company-building initiatives at a fast-growing startup.
- Design simple and elegant systems based on customer problems.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Ability to independently own and execute backend features and large projects.
- Experience collaborating with application and frontend engineers.
- Sound judgment in selecting stable technologies and making system tradeoffs.
- Ability to consider observability, SLAs, scalability, and sustainable system design.
- Familiarity with AWS, Postgres, and Node.js.
- Strong ownership, accountability, prioritization, collaboration, and communication skills.
