Base Salary
$170k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the modeling engine, including transfer tax computation, waterfall and distribution modeling, and consolidation into one engine
- Design flexible and thoughtful data models for trusts, estates, ownership structures, and related domain complexity
- Work with attorneys and CPAs to validate computations against practitioner approaches and applicable tax-code interactions
- Expose deterministic calculations and hypothetical modeling capabilities through tools that support extraction and agentic workflows
- Communicate with customers and internal subject-matter experts while shaping product requirements
Requirements
- Four or more years of software engineering experience at companies with strong engineering practices
- Experience or interest in modeling complex real-world systems and domain logic rather than primarily infrastructure problems
- A rigorous approach to correctness, edge cases, and verifiable logic
- Product-mindedness and willingness to shape requirements
- Strong communication skills
