Base Salary
$123k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong understanding of the development toolchain and contribute features, improvements, and bug fixes across team codebases.
- Participate in the full feature lifecycle, including planning, development, release oversight, and customer support.
- Develop testing strategies, write unit and integration tests, document work, and report issues effectively.
- Plan solutions, reuse established patterns and best practices, and submit well-documented merge requests.
- Participate in and review RFCs and RFDs, promote code review best practices, and provide peer feedback.
- Help customer support resolve difficult product issues and identify high-priority customer feedback.
- Participate in refinement, prioritization, and group estimation.
- Identify and address improvement opportunities in repository cleanup, community engagement tooling, and IDE integration ergonomics.
Requirements
- Strong Rust knowledge and experience as a developer.
- Ability to own complex systems work from design through delivery and production support.
- Comfort working across product surfaces, backend services, reliability, operational workflows, and testing.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to balance quality, speed, reliability, and maintainability.
- Ability to ramp quickly into complex codebases and ambiguous problem spaces.
- Collaborative approach across Product, Design, Security, Browser, Backend, and Infrastructure teams.
- Ability to use AI tooling for development, testing, debugging, documentation, and code exploration while validating and safely applying AI-assisted work.
- Strong Go backend service development experience is preferred.
- Hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure experience is preferred.
