Base Salary
$170k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve customer-facing registries, APIs, and artifact-serving systems.
- Develop and operate Go backend services supporting Libraries and future artifact types.
- Deliver projects from technical design through testing, release, monitoring, and iteration.
- Contribute to scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and load testing.
- Participate in service boundary, API, data flow, and operational design decisions.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while collaborating with engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building software, including some backend or infrastructure experience.
- Experience with Go, or strong programming experience in another language with the ability to learn Go quickly.
- Experience contributing to software projects from implementation through testing and release.
- Familiarity with testing, code review, debugging, and version control.
- Exposure to deploying or operating production services, or strong interest in developing those skills.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform is helpful but not required.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of production backend or infrastructure experience, strong Go or backend systems expertise, project ownership through production operation, and experience with high-scale customer-facing infrastructure.
- Preferred qualifications also include strong judgment around reliability, observability, performance, security, and operational tradeoffs, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.
