Base Salary
$107k - $132k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain cloud services and workflows supporting Passport and Authentication systems.
- Develop applications and services primarily in Go and Python across AWS and GCP.
- Use AWS services including Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3 to build and operate production systems.
- Contribute to technical design decisions involving reliability, latency, security, cost, complexity, and delivery timelines.
- Investigate production issues and improve monitoring, alerting, runbooks, deployments, and service quality.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with software engineering, test engineering, research, product, and customer engagement teams.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation, including after-hours alert coverage.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
- Expertise in Go and experience with Python.
- Experience with cloud computing environments, especially AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and Linux/Unix system internals.
- Knowledge of data storage technologies such as Redis and MySQL.
- Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with or exposure to AWS managed services including S3, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB.
- A proven track record of delivering stable and secure production code.
- Preferred experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or Spinnaker.
- Preferred experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, adaptability, and execution skills.
