Base Salary
$100k - $134k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and augment automation and services responsible for operating Planet’s satellites.
- Specify and implement new HTTP APIs and improve existing APIs.
- Evaluate and select appropriate software technologies.
- Design and deploy critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with satellite and ground operations, pipeline, product, and other teams to support the satellite constellation.
- Support and engage with end users to iteratively improve satellite operations systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field.
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Python, API design, automated testing, code review, documentation, relational databases, peer-reviewed code, continuous integration and deployment workflows, Linux, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with GitLab CI and Docker or similar tooling.
- Preferred experience with AWS or GCP, Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, Sentry, microservice environments, and aerospace concepts.
