Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Design, develop, launch, and scale backend systems and data infrastructure for event-driven architecture and stream processing.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, write tested and extensible software, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering growth activities.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed-systems building blocks and AWS, Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business scenarios into solutions interacting with multiple software components.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective collaboration capabilities.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
