Base Salary
$146k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in multiple phases, and collaborate with teammates for timely delivery.
- Design, develop, launch, and scale backend systems and data infrastructure for streaming and event-driven architecture.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts.
- Write clear, well-tested, extensible code; navigate large codebases, debug code, and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to team growth and development activities, including interviewing.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and AWS, Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components.
- Ability to navigate large codebases, debug others’ code, and provide feedback through code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
