Base Salary
$121k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve customer-facing package registries, APIs, and artifact-serving systems.
- Develop and operate backend services in Go for libraries, containers, images, APKs, and other artifact types.
- Deliver well-scoped projects from technical design through testing, rollout, monitoring, and iteration.
- Contribute to scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and load testing for production systems.
- Participate in service boundary, API, data flow, and operational design discussions.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while improving operational judgment.
- Collaborate with engineering and product partners, review code, share knowledge, and contribute to a supportive team.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building software, including some backend or infrastructure experience.
- Experience with Go or strong programming experience in another language with the ability to learn Go quickly.
- Experience taking software projects from implementation through testing and release.
- Interest in customer-facing infrastructure such as package registries, artifact repositories, APIs, or developer platforms.
- Familiarity with testing, code review, debugging, and version control.
- Production deployment or operations exposure, or a strong interest in developing those skills.
- Clear communication, curiosity, systems-oriented thinking, and effective collaboration in a remote environment.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of production backend or infrastructure experience, strong Go experience, project ownership through production operation, high-scale serving-system experience, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Terraform.
