Responsibilities

  • Advise leadership and influence enterprise applications, database, operating system, network, information security, and web technology strategies.
  • Lead resolution of complex enterprise technology challenges and deliver long-term, large-scale solutions.
  • Define AI and technology strategy, target-state architecture, roadmaps, standards, reusable patterns, and governance models.
  • Design and deliver enterprise-scale AI platforms, services, APIs, orchestration frameworks, developer toolkits, and reference architectures.
  • Architect and deploy production-grade AI/ML, GenAI, LLM, RAG, agentic, and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Lead architecture governance, design reviews, engineering guidance, mentoring, and thought leadership for engineers and architects.
  • Evaluate AI technologies, frameworks, vendors, build-versus-buy options, scalability, cost, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with executives, business stakeholders, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, governance, data engineering, and application teams on enterprise transformation.
  • Implement responsible AI, model risk management, privacy, security, regulatory compliance, data protection, and operational risk controls.
  • Establish LLMOps/MLOps practices including model lifecycle management, evaluation, monitoring, drift detection, guardrails, and automated deployment.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 7 years of technology experience in software engineering, enterprise architecture, platform engineering, database technology, machine learning, or AI-led transformation.
  • At least 7 years of architecture and technical leadership experience defining technology strategy, target-state architecture, roadmaps, standards, and reusable patterns for large enterprise platforms.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on AI/ML, Generative AI, or intelligent automation experience delivering production-grade AI solutions.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning, LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, knowledge systems, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and intelligent workflow automation.
  • Experience with AI/ML and GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, Hugging Face, MLflow, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Experience with cloud AI services and platforms such as Devin AI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Databricks, Snowflake, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Experience implementing multi-agent systems, agent orchestration, workflow automation, tool or function calling, memory management, contextual retrieval, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, data platforms, API design, microservices, observability, scalability, reliability, and production deployment.
  • Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, privacy, security, regulatory compliance, ethical AI, and data protection.
  • Experience with cybersecurity architecture, identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, secure SDLC, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
  • Experience with enterprise knowledge management, semantic search, vector databases, embeddings, metadata enrichment, data lineage, and retrieval optimization.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives, innovation programs, proofs of concept, technology incubations, hackathons, or AI transformation programs.
  • Strong vendor management, communication, influencing, storytelling, mentoring, and executive-partnership skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database platforms and experience in regulated industries are preferred.
