Responsibilities
- Develop cloud strategies and roadmaps aligned with client business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to use cloud services for improved efficiency, agility, and cost savings.
- Architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and multicloud environments.
- Evaluate cloud platforms, services, deployment models, technologies, frameworks, and tools.
- Design cloud and on-premises data integrations and connectivity.
- Develop cloud security strategies, policies, compliance solutions, and appropriate security measures.
- Assess client environments and develop cloud migration and transformation strategies.
- Plan and present integrations between platforms, architectures, and cloud-based solutions.
- Support sales pursuits by developing compelling business solutions and generating new revenue.
- Build trusted relationships with client executives, stakeholders, cloud providers, and technology vendors.
- Provide technical guidance, facilitate workshops, and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Forecast and manage financial and people resources while balancing client value, professional development, and company objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study or equivalent work experience and certifications.
- 12+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering technology solutions as an architect for state and local clients.
- Strong alliance with Google, AWS, Azure, and other cloud and container vendors.
- Experience messaging and solving cloud transformations as part of sales pursuits.
- Experience with design patterns, architecture best practices, cost optimization, and purpose-built solutions.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing on-premises, hybrid, and multicloud solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud IaaS and PaaS services.
- Proficiency in cloud architecture design principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure components.
- Experience preparing cloud solution cost estimates and using cloud migration strategies and tools.
- Knowledge of networking technologies and cloud networking.
- Strong understanding of a broad range of services and solutions, emerging technology applications, and competitor offerings.
- Comfort interacting with CXO-level stakeholders individually and as part of a broader sales team.
- Recognized thought leadership and industry expertise.
- Strong verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
