Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack

Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and continuously deploy features across React/TypeScript frontends, .NET services and APIs, and Python data pipelines.
- Build partner-facing agency experiences for referral management, community profiles, and reporting in Grace.
- Use AI coding agents daily by scoping work, reviewing and hardening generated output, and developing reliable agentic tooling and context.
- Apply LLMs to provider-data extraction, classification, matching, summarization, and workflow automation with evaluation harnesses and guardrails.
- Collaborate with engineering leads to design cloud-native, service-oriented components and APIs.
- Champion linting, unit testing, integration and end-to-end testing, pipeline automation, and other quality engineering practices.
- Provide code reviews, reference implementations, technical mentorship, and guidance on AI tooling governance.
- Investigate and resolve production issues end to end across UI, service, and data layers while preventing recurrence.
- Partner with product and project managers to deliver high-quality work on schedule and maintain current technical documentation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated depth across frontend and backend development.
- Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, component architecture, state management, testing, and design system adoption.
- Strong proficiency building and operating backend services and APIs, with solid relational data modeling and SQL skills.
- Working proficiency in Python for data ingestion, transformation, and automation.
- Experience with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows, such as Claude Code, MCP-based integrations, and AI-assisted code review.
- Practical experience building LLM-backed features involving prompt design, retrieval and context strategy, structured output, cost and latency management, and systematic quality evaluation.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent.
- Experience designing, building, and supporting dependable production systems that scale effectively.
- Strong communication, storytelling, problem-solving, debugging, analysis, instrumentation, documentation, and technical ownership skills.
- Preferred experience with B2B or partner-facing SaaS platforms, marketplaces, or lead and referral management systems.
- Preferred experience with large-scale web scraping, crawling, third-party data acquisition, entity resolution, record linkage, or master data management.
- Healthcare, senior care, regulated-data, NPPES, state licensure, or HIPAA awareness is preferred.
- Experience building internal developer tooling or MCP servers for proprietary systems is preferred.
