Base Salary
$190k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Seek out and solve inefficiencies in tooling and frameworks to improve developer productivity.
- Advance Rails and Ruby upgrades across core applications with automation and AI-assisted tooling.
- Build and maintain reusable libraries and patterns for best practices.
- Steward and improve shared CI tooling and developer-facing guardrails.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand pain points and ship solutions.
- Contribute to observable standards and scorecards for service health and maturity.
- Leverage AI tools to augment developer productivity.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience with strong architecture skills.
- Deep knowledge of Ruby on Rails or equivalent backend experience with a willingness to learn Rails.
- Experience building developer tooling or platform infrastructure for multiple engineers.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues as internal customers.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and enthusiasm for applying AI.
- Experience with type systems, CI/CD pipelines, code generation, or framework upgrades.
- A tendency to create observable, repeatable, and automated processes.
