Responsibilities
- Design and build embedded benefits experiences for enrolment, plan selection, quotes, dependants, and renewals.
- Develop component and SDK layers using React and TypeScript while working across APIs, backend services, and other codebases.
- Build and maintain partner APIs, webhooks, integrations, and multi-partner theming.
- Own technical architecture and support varied partner use cases without unnecessary product fragmentation.
- Join client and partner calls and communicate technical decisions to customers and engineering teams.
- Proactively shape the roadmap, make product decisions, and validate that solutions address customer needs.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and forward deployed engineers to ship end-to-end experiences.
- Improve stability, reliability, security, compliance, and observability for owned systems and integrations.
- Use AI for development, code review, and improving delivery workflows.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical planning, team processes, and the growth of the engineering team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building production software.
- Strong TypeScript and React experience or equivalent modern web UI experience.
- Experience with component-driven UIs, typed APIs, monorepos, and automated testing.
- Experience shipping meaningful changes across different codebases, languages, or services.
- Experience designing and maintaining third-party API integrations.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong design and UX judgment, especially for conversion-sensitive flows.
- Cloud experience with Azure or AWS.
- Comfort with reliability, security, compliance, ambiguity, and autonomous product ownership.
- Preferred experience includes embedded, white-label, or multi-tenant products and design systems consumed by other engineers.
- An AI-forward mindset and willingness to use AI regularly for coding, review, and workflow improvement.
