Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 30+ Java and Scala microservices processing, aggregating, and exposing telecommunications and messaging data.
- Improve the performance of a distributed pipeline processing approximately 10,000 messages per second.
- Architect services and data pipelines for minimum latency across global locations.
- Implement machine-learning fraud detection processes using Kafka and Kafka Streams.
- Deploy services to multi-cloud Kubernetes environments targeting 99.999% uptime.
- Release code to production multiple times per day.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- At least four years of experience with Java and its ecosystem of tooling.
- Experience with at least one of Cassandra, ClickHouse, or OpenSearch.
- Experience with AI tooling or a strong willingness to learn.
- Preferred experience with Scala or another functional programming language.
- Preferred experience with Linux, Git, and Docker in a continuous integration environment.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems and systems maintaining 99.999% uptime.
