Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 30+ Java and Scala microservices that process, aggregate, and expose telecommunications and messaging data.
- Improve the performance and throughput of distributed data pipelines processing 10,000 messages per second and growing.
- Architect services and pipelines for minimum latency across global regions.
- Implement machine-learning-based fraud detection processes using Kafka and Kafka Streams.
- Deploy services to multi-cloud Kubernetes environments targeting 99.999% uptime.
- Release code to production multiple times per day.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with Java and its ecosystem of tooling.
- Experience with at least one of Cassandra, ClickHouse, or OpenSearch.
- Experience with AI tooling or strong willingness to learn.
- Preferred experience with Scala or another functional programming language.
- Preferred experience with Linux, Git, and Docker in a continuous integration environment.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems and systems designed for 99.999% uptime.
