Responsibilities
- Define the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end test automation solutions.
- Set up automated testing environments for API- and microservices-based applications.
- Design, scale, author, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks.
- Translate manual regression test suites into automated test scripts to accelerate release cycles.
- Lead comprehensive testing for large-scale consumer-facing web applications and foundational software tools.
- Advocate for testing best practices, clean code, and quality guardrails across development teams.
- Collaborate with Development Managers, Product Owners, and other teams to architect automation-focused quality solutions.
- Develop test strategies and test plans based on user stories, specifications, use cases, and business requirements.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment solutions for large software engineering organizations.
- Use AI development and testing tools for scripting efficiency, test-case generation, defect analysis, and test-data synthesis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3.5 to 5+ years of experience defining, developing, and owning test automation infrastructure for a large enterprise.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test data management, and test lifecycle design.
- Experience balancing manual exploratory testing with automated validation strategies.
- Extensive experience with Postman or equivalent tools for REST API testing, including schema validation, response parsing, and error-code verification.
- Fluency in Java, JavaScript, or Node.js and associated automation stacks.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or equivalent browser automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Experience validating both UI/UX performance and backend APIs.
- Ability and interest to develop test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Advanced SQL and relational database knowledge for backend data validation.
- Preferred knowledge of gRPC service validation, Splunk, Grafana, JMeter, and open-source JavaScript-based libraries.
- Interest in AI-assisted testing and an alignment with Priceline’s values of customer focus, innovation, teamwork, accountability, trust, integrity, and ethics.
