Lead Software Engineer
SS&C TechnologiesResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain software using Progress 4GL and related Progress OpenEdge technologies.
- Provide second- and third-level technical support to an international financial-industry client base.
- Follow development standards and best practices.
- Use source control systems and support incident, SLA, and release management processes.
- Explore AI-assisted development and automation to improve engineering efficiency and workflows.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience with Progress 4GL and related technologies.
- Experience or exposure to AppServer, WebSpeed, PAS for OpenEdge, and Git.
- Exposure to IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Understanding of incident management, SLA tracking, and release management.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and automation concepts.
- Visual Studio Code experience is a plus.
- ITSM certification is a plus.
