InformaticaResponsibilities
- Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms across public cloud environments.
- Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across thousands of compute nodes and multiple data centers.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and build microservices with Kubernetes, Docker, and Mesos.
- Use and contribute to open-source technologies including Kafka, Spinnaker, and Zookeeper.
- Own and operate critical services while balancing live-site management, feature delivery, and technical debt reduction.
- Participate in on-call rotations, investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve availability, resilience, and performance.
Requirements
- A related technical degree is required.
- At least 4 years of backend software development experience is required.
- Deep programming knowledge in Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby is required.
- Strong distributed systems fundamentals and deep knowledge of Kafka internals are required.
- Kubernetes engineering experience with StatefulSets, autoscaling, PersistentVolumeClaims, Helm, and production workload debugging is required.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform for cloud resources is required.
- Experience using and contributing to Kafka, Spinnaker, and Zookeeper is required.
- Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critical service is required.
- Experience with critical infrastructure services including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications is required.
- Experience with Agile development methodology and Test Driven Development is required.
- Strong written communication and architectural design skills are required.
