Supply Chain Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build and own a supply chain control tower providing multi-tier supplier visibility, clear-to-build detection, production-readiness dashboards, and blocked-order tracking.
- Develop domestic-content and tax-credit compliance systems for 48E and 45X FEOC verification using EIN lookups, D&B ownership data, and regulatory watch lists.
- Build procurement tools for supplier performance tracking, RFQ/RFP automation, bid analysis, and contract management.
- Own data pipelines integrating ERP, supplier portals, and customs and shipping systems, with automated disruption, quality, and compliance alerts.
- Calculate and surface financial exposure related to WIP inventory, blocked production, and tax-credit risk.
- Work with planners, buyers, and operations managers to scope MVPs, deploy weekly, and iterate based on feedback.
- Identify manual supply chain workflows and build scalable replacements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building production software, internal tools, or data platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages, with experience in data modeling, data pipelines, API integrations, and workflow automation.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, modern deployment practices, and observability tooling.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Retool, and internal APIs; Odoo experience is a plus.
- Experience in a technology-enabled operations environment such as energy, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Experience with WMS/MES systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, or experience building operations platforms at a high-growth startup.
- AI/ML experience in forecasting, anomaly detection, or decision support is preferred.
- Fluency with Claude or other AI coding assistants is preferred.
- Strong organization, execution, ownership, and follow-through from project concept through production.
