Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver scalable software solutions for client projects.
- Identify and implement solutions to cross-functional problems using software development, DevOps, and infrastructure expertise.
- Design, plan, and implement cloud and on-premise infrastructure based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and system components.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, automation practices, and release processes.
- Contribute to containerized, virtualized, and cloud-native environments.
- Improve architecture, testing, deployment, observability, reliability, and maintainability through modernization initiatives.
- Define, document, and communicate non-functional requirements covering performance, reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Coach colleagues on software development, DevOps, infrastructure, and delivery best practices.
- Own deliverables end to end, manage priorities, and uphold software development and quality standards.
- Research, test, and implement new techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Advise clients on technical direction, architecture, infrastructure, solution design, and trade-offs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including recent hands-on DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, college degree, certification in a software-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate or conversational French proficiency.
- Strong backend development experience, API design knowledge, and distributed systems experience.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with at least one server-side language, such as Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go, or C#.
- Experience with virtualization, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes or Docker Compose, CI/CD, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with microservices, serverless systems, cloud-native architectures, monitoring, observability, and software testing practices.
- Strong technical judgment, pragmatic architectural decision-making, client or stakeholder collaboration, mentoring ability, and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization, security, networking, identity, and access management concepts.
- Experience with client-side frameworks, full-stack development, event-driven systems, messaging, caching, edge computing, IoT, robotics, industrial systems, developer tooling, or regulated environments is a plus.
