Base Salary
$139k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement production-ready multi-agent workflows, autonomous reasoning loops, and tool-augmented LLM architectures.
- Embed with customers and translate business requirements into high-performance, deterministic AI and agentic workflows.
- Prototype agentic frameworks using LangGraph, AutoGen, or custom execution graphs and harden them for enterprise production.
- Develop reusable evaluation frameworks and safety guardrails covering precision, security, latency, and cost.
- Validate DigitalOcean inference, runtime, orchestration, GPU, and deployment capabilities and identify platform gaps.
- Convert customer deployment feedback into enhancements for AI/ML product, engineering, and research teams.
- Travel up to 30% for customer engagements, workshops, conferences, and collaboration.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Applied AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
- Experience building multi-agent orchestration engines, tool-use or function-calling pipelines, MCP integrations, structured outputs, dynamic planning, and persistent memory models.
- Strong production Python and systems engineering skills, including Pydantic, FastAPI, Asyncio, and PyTorch.
- Ability to communicate complex AI trade-offs to engineering leaders and executive sponsors.
- Preferred: master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, distributed training tools, agentic AI frameworks, transformers, and state space models.
- Preferred: publications, patents, and knowledge of current LLM, VLM, and agentic framework research.
- Preferred: experience translating business tasks into AI engineering solutions and collaborating with customers, model vendors, or ecosystem partners on benchmarking, optimization, fine-tuning, or launch readiness.
