Responsibilities
- Own and lead the GKE Networking roadmap for virtualization solutions supporting tens of thousands of nodes and beyond.
- Design and develop high-performance networking for large-scale model training, low-latency GPU communication, and autonomous agentic workloads.
- Lead the design of data plane and control plane components, including connectivity, security, and service mesh capabilities.
- Partner with GKE Platform and Cloud Networking teams to unify Google's networking fabric.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of software design and architecture experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, or experience with Kubernetes or Go.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, 1 year of technical leadership experience, Linux networking stack experience, and experience developing accessible technologies.
