Responsibilities
- Design and develop maintainable software across all layers of the application stack.
- Build and enhance single-page applications primarily with Angular, with React also relevant.
- Develop and maintain containerized microservices using full-stack development practices.
- Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines and support application monitoring.
- Develop and refactor object-oriented applications primarily in Java using clean-code practices.
- Host and manage applications with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Implement asynchronous application patterns using Azure Service Bus.
- Develop authentication and authorization solutions using OIDC, OAuth2, Azure AD, and Okta.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, Front-End Developers, and the Core Squad on application and service design.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 4–5 years of agile software engineering experience as a full-stack developer.
- Strong proficiency in Angular or React.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise across the software delivery lifecycle.
- At least two years of cloud technology experience, preferably with hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
- Experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Service Bus.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
- Familiarity with OIDC, OAuth2, Azure AD, Okta, CI/CD pipeline configuration, and application monitoring tools is desirable.
- Strong understanding of ORM frameworks and modern programming paradigms.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across globally distributed teams.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
