Base Salary
$90k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development of Clover’s Employees platform, shift scheduling capabilities, and backend ecosystems.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable REST APIs and microservices for payment devices, merchant dashboards, and enterprise integrations.
- Translate business objectives into clean, maintainable, extensible software in partnership with product managers and designers.
- Own merchant- and employee-facing features from design and development through deployment and production monitoring.
- Conduct system design and code reviews focused on code quality, security, and performance.
- Design data models for highly available workforce, shift-management, and enterprise-integration services with the Infrastructure team.
- Develop test plans and strategies with QA and participate in an on-call rotation to maintain uptime and availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of hands-on professional software development experience delivering complex, production-grade backend systems.
- Strong coding skills in the JVM ecosystem, especially Java.
- Extensive experience building microservices and web services with Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience deploying application containers with Kubernetes and managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and schema design.
- Deep expertise designing and implementing robust, secure, performant RESTful APIs.
- Ability to write clean, testable, scalable, high-performance code.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes Google Cloud Platform, workforce-management or HR technology, scheduling or payroll platforms, enterprise integrations, generative AI or LLM integrations, and AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
