Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions and production code.
- Build and maintain applications using Java and React, including system design, testing, and operational stability work.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software code meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating generated outputs.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and drive improvements to coding hygiene, system architecture, and application quality.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities and guide peers on safe, effective AI-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability using Java and React.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices, including application resiliency and security.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
