Responsibilities
- Own technical architecture and system design decisions across the full stack.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, debug, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Set coding standards, engineering best practices, technical guidelines, and development workflows.
- Review code for quality, maintainability, performance, and security.
- Lead, mentor, guide, and support software engineers while helping them grow technically and professionally.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
- Drive end-to-end feature delivery and resolve complex issues across the stack.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and building the engineering team.
- Oversee and contribute to containerized development and deployment using Docker.
- Guide adoption of safe and effective AI-assisted development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including experience acting as a tech lead.
- Strong full-stack web development experience using Next.js.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering trade-offs.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Docker for local development and containerized deployments.
- Experience leading or mentoring developers and conducting code reviews.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience shaping team processes, engineering culture, and development standards.
- Preferred: experience with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Codeium; open-source contributions, side projects, or a strong technical portfolio.
