Base Salary
$93k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own backend work end to end, including requirements clarification, design, development, testing, deployment, and production follow-through.
- Build and ship backend features, fixes, and services for the EV charging platform.
- Collaborate with frontend teammates on features spanning the application stack.
- Write unit and integration tests, improve test coverage, and maintain code quality gates.
- Review code, communicate blockers, and collaborate across teams to keep delivery moving.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Provide occasional after-hours support as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software development experience.
- Strong hands-on Java 17 or 21 experience, including modern language features.
- Production experience with Spring Boot 3+ and REST API development.
- Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Boot test slices, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Experience with SonarQube or similar static analysis tools.
- Exposure to Postgres and/or MongoDB.
- Working knowledge of Next.js, including reading, debugging, and modifying a Next.js codebase.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: OCPP/OCPI or EV charging domain knowledge, CI/CD and DevOps practices, and integration testing framework experience.
