Base Salary
$107k - $132k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, maintain, and operate cloud services and workflows for Passport and Authentication systems.
- Develop production services primarily in Go and Python across AWS and GCP.
- Use AWS services including Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3 to build cloud-native capabilities.
- Contribute to projects from design and implementation through rollout, operational support, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate tradeoffs involving reliability, latency, security, cost, complexity, and delivery timelines.
- Investigate technical issues, operational risks, production incidents, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, deployments, and service quality.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with software engineering, test engineering, research, product, and customer engagement teams.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation, including after-hours alert coverage.
- Help evaluate new technologies and improve software engineering practices.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
- Expertise in Go/Golang and experience with Python preferred.
- Experience with cloud computing environments, especially AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
- Knowledge of data storage technologies such as Redis and MySQL.
- Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS managed services such as S3, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB preferred.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix system internals.
- A proven track record of delivering stable and secure production code.
- Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or Spinnaker preferred.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, adaptability, and ownership skills.
- Experience working closely with Product and Customer Engagement teams preferred.
- Customer or real-world use-case experience in Pindrop or a related security field preferred.
