Base Salary
$126k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship mobile iOS features and components for Compass’s home buying and selling platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product, and Design to scope, prioritize, design, and launch customer-focused projects.
- Work independently with some guidance while evaluating technical tradeoffs and recommending solutions.
- Perform code reviews, participate in design reviews, and write high-quality tests.
- Develop testable, maintainable, stable, and operationally rigorous software.
- Contribute to engineering-led initiatives that improve platform efficiency and operational excellence.
- Create documentation including diagrams, service descriptions, decisions, and runbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional iOS development experience using Swift and shipping apps to the App Store.
- Familiarity with modern Swift development practices such as SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency; reactive programming framework experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, iOS design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience integrating with RESTful backend services.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders and implement polished, user-friendly solutions.
- Experience with Scrum or Agile development methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
