Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable video-streaming applications for iOS and Apple TV.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable Swift code and optimize app performance.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex features and conduct code reviews.
- Implement and optimize HLS, DASH, DRM, and adaptive streaming capabilities.
- Integrate and customize AVFoundation and third-party video players.
- Troubleshoot playback, buffering, and content-delivery issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA to deliver features.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Collaborate on release planning and support the team during critical deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of iOS development experience focused on video-streaming applications.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality apps for iOS Mobile and Apple TV.
- Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.
- Strong knowledge of UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, AVFoundation, HLS, DRM, and adaptive streaming technologies.
- Experience integrating APIs using REST or GraphQL.
- Expertise optimizing video playback performance and troubleshooting streaming issues.
- Familiarity with iOS testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with tvOS development and Apple TV-specific design guidelines.
- Familiarity with third-party video SDKs and analytics tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, leadership, documentation, and prioritization skills.
