Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize resilient cloud infrastructure for scalable and reliable applications.
- Establish and manage monitoring and alerting systems, and improve reliability using SLI, SLO, SLA, and error-budget practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, system configuration, repetitive operational tasks, and workflows using tools such as Rundeck and Jenkins.
- Participate in major incident response, root-cause analysis, and implementation of permanent production fixes.
- Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional stakeholders on cloud solutions, requirements, proofs of concept, resilience, and operational tooling.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, cloud engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and Python.
- Experience with Ansible or Puppet and exposure to Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience configuring Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack, including hands-on OpenTelemetry implementation.
- Strong understanding of SLI, SLO, SLA, and error budgeting.
- Preferred experience with Git, Jenkins, Rundeck, ArgoCD, Crossplane, MySQL, Hadoop, cloud cost optimization, disaster recovery, business continuity, cloud security, and Gen AI.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, proactive problem-solving, and reliability advocacy skills.
