Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate ServiceNow ITOM capabilities focused on Discovery, CMDB data quality, and Service Mapping.
- Build and maintain Discovery architecture, including MID Server design, credentials, network zoning, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Improve configuration data quality using identification and reconciliation practices and common service data structures.
- Create and optimize service maps that represent application and infrastructure dependencies.
- Integrate AWS, Azure, and GCP resources into ServiceNow with appropriate modelling, normalization, ownership, environment, and cost governance.
- Develop automation and integrations using workflows, scripting, application programming interfaces, Integration Hub, scripted REST, and OAuth flows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow engineering experience with a strong focus on ITOM.
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, MID Server deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including cloud resource models and Azure policy configuration and reporting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, cloud, networking, credentials, and data quality issues.
- Experience with ServiceNow JavaScript, including Business Rules, Script Includes, and Scheduled Jobs.
- Experience with Service Mapping, pattern-based methodologies, dependency validation, IRE, identification rules, reconciliation behavior, and duplicate prevention or troubleshooting.
- Experience with Integration Hub, out-of-box or custom spokes, scripted REST, and OAuth flows.
- Ability to collaborate across platform, cloud, and infrastructure teams to improve operational visibility.
